9/11: A Biblical Prophecy Fulfilled?

NOTE! This is only a theory I had... I do not support it as a whole. I think the vatican could be a more likely target, and the method of Judgement might likely be a series missile attacks - But keep in mind, none of us can fully comprehend every aspect of Revelation. Enjoy!

Rev. 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Any honest Christian realizes that this country, the land of the free, is an abomination to God. To prove the point, the following was taken from an internet search engine. Take a look:

First we see the support of Sodomy, and afterward, a request for God's Blessing on it. This is a severe case of Blasphemy, and now, more than ever, it looks as though the U.S. is being judged for it's actions.

17:5 And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

This City, Mystery Babylon, is not only Great, but is Exceedingly Evil. NYC is the "Greatest" city in The U.S., home to the U.N., and the WTC. The United States is also becoming increasingly Immoral as time goes on. This scripture seams to apply to New York City.

Rev. 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

We note that this indicates a swift judgement - One hour. Below is a schedule of events that day.

Between 7:45 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. EST - Four airplanes were hijacked from east coast airports.

8:48 a.m. EST - The first airplane crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.

9:03 a.m. EST - The second airplane crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center.

9:43 a.m. EST - The third airplane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C..

10:05 a.m. EST - The south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed.

10:10 a.m. EST - The fourth airplane crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

5:20 p.m. EST - A third building at the World Trade Center collapsed.

18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

Chapter 18 of the book of revelation speaks to no end of Merchants. Remember what fell. The WORLD TRADE CENTER.

18:12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

Once again, we hear of judgment in "One hour". We also hear of sailors and ships standing afar off watching. The WTC was positioned on Manhattan Island, and had access to the sea.

18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What [city is] like unto this great city!

18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Dust was cast on their heads. No civilized people would take dirt from the ground and toss it on their head. In this case, they had no choice.

18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast [it] into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Rev. 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, [and] so great.

16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

An earthquake will tear the city into 3 parts. This is quite possible. You can see in the map below that NYC has many fault lines running through it.

The possible mention of 9/11 in the Bible is not overly shocking. For, as time continues to pass, it is starting to look like more than a horrific act of terror, but what could be the beginning of World War III...

Note here that this is mere speculation - Revelation 18 could also refer to another, larger incident - Such as a nuclear attack on the nation, or another nation, as a whole...Etc.
